- E. WORKSHOP SESSIONS & COURSE MODULES
We propose to teach the following modules:
- Leadership style and personal effectiveness- The major learning theme under this module will focus on helping individuals identify their own leadership style, its strengths and weaknesses and how and when they can adjust their leadership style to achieve improved performance of their team.
- Communication / personality style and personal effectiveness: As a follow up to the leadership style diagnosis, we would also help participants identify and understand their own communication style as well as the strengths and weaknesses of each style.
- Leadership and communication style as it affects team effectiveness: As organizational leaders, we cannot get the job done alone but have to work with members of our teams to achieve corporate goals. Participants will learn the time tested and proven techniques for ensuring that they use leadership and communication styles that will bring out the best in the teams they lead and thus improve organizational productivity.
- Keys to Personal Effectiveness (Prioritization, Time Management and Delegation): It is intended to help participants understand how to prioritize the large number of assignments they have to complete within a given time frame without dropping off any major tasks. Participants will be exposed to tools that help them define what is urgent, what is important and how to balance them in day to day activities. Participants will also undergo a self-assessment of their delegation habits and practical tips on how to use the talents, skills and abilities of other members of their team through effective delegation.
- Giving and receiving performance feedback in the work place: Surveys conducted about workplace habits indicate that how supervisors and organizational leaders provide feedback is very important to their subordinates and team members. Participants will be exposed to the different techniques for providing effective performance feedback in such a way that the feedback does not de-motivate the employees.
- Gender and Leadership effectiveness: In the last 2 decades, many women have emerged as leaders in organization in contrast to previously held stereotype of male headed organizations. This has made it imperative that participants are exposed to the peculiar nuances of how gender affects leadership style.
